Why “Good Parenting” Creates Clingy Kids
Sometimes the things we do to be more present (helping quickly, praising constantly, or joining every activity) can accidentally make independent play harder.
In this video, we look at four common parenting habits that can affect a child’s confidence, persistence, self-regulation, and ability to play independently. I’m guilty of all four, but recognizing them has helped me know when to step in—and when to give my kids room to figure things out.
