This Is How Parenting Used to Build Confidence.

Older generations often learned confidence a little differently. Children were given guidance, but they were also given room to try things for themselves and discover what they could handle. Reassurance can help someone believe they’re capable, but experience gives them something even more personal: proof. That sense of accomplishment can build confidence in a way words alone sometimes can’t. Parenting may look different from one generation to the next, but there’s something timeless about realizing, “I did it myself.”
